Since its renovation in 1994, the mill has been open to all interested visitors as a historical monument. Regular but also individually arranged guided tours through the mill and the miller’s apartment are offered. The impressive mill technology is also put into operation during a foam grinding.
The highlight of the year is the German Mills Day, which takes place every Whit Monday. The mill presents itself to the stream of visitors like a folk festival. Old craftsmanship is shown and hearty and sweet meals are served. The mill wheels turn almost non-stop on this day.
Also for other events of the place the mill area is gladly used because of its closed nature-near situation at the Osterbach.
The mill serves as a meeting centre and archive for the local heritage association.
